Elena's timely offering of her services met a critical need for my uncle and for me.  She was able to quickly put together a list of candidate homes based on her assessment of his needs, requirements and financial status.  She personally took him to visit these places despite his limited mobility, providing both of us with background information on each Adult Family Home.  She offered to show him additional homes if the initial ones did not suit his desires.

Elena not only excels as what she does but on a human level she goes the extra mile.  When I had difficulties in ending the contract with my uncle's former ALF, she provided hands-on assistance with removal of belongings from the ALF as well as recommendations for expediting matters.

 

If the need arose again, I would choose Elena for her referral service in a heartbeat.  She is professional, accommodating, and realistic.  I am fortunate to have crossed-paths with her in what can be a difficult and challenging time.

Elena, I would recommend your service to anyone looking for an adult family home in the Seattle area.  You possess inside knowledge of the industry, know quality hosts and houses, and relative prices for each, and were willing to work with me as long as it took. In my case, you altered your personal schedule to help place my Aunt on short notice.  You drove to various locations, introduced me to the hosts, walked with me through the homes and talked with me about what I thought was best for my Aunt.  She is now a resident at a high quality facility at the right price. You also personally took my Aunt to the facility I liked best for a luncheon, and after she approved of a move there, you drove her back for her first day. You made the whole transition easier for all of us, and we were able to get her moved without feeling the huge burden of a crushed personal and work schedule. My Sister’s and I would like to extend our sincere gratitude to you.  For the past 3 years we have been the full time primary care givers for our Father after he suffered a disabling stroke in 2007.  He recently suffered another event and although it was small, it took away the last bit of mobility and independence he had.  It was clear that we were no longer going to be able to provide the 24 hour care he needed and deserved.  We were forced to place him in a nursing home temporarily until we could find a permanent solution for him. It seemed that every direction we went, we ran into some kind of road block. We felt lost until we met you. 

Within hours of contacting you, you agreed to meet with us and our Dad at the Marysville Care Center. You came prepared with options and really opened our eyes to the option of an Adult Family Home. You were very kind and listened to all of our concerns and most of all you listened to our Dad. You were respectful and very patient with him as he struggles to get the words out.  We were overwhelmed with trying to find a place where he would be happy and taken care of with as much love as his own family.  You took that burden off of us and made the process fast and easy.  By the next day you had already provided a list of homes to look at.  Your service as a placement agent was a God send.  You provided so much more than a service, you provided comfort and security knowing we were choosing the best place for our Father. 

The home we ended up choosing for our father was one of the first homes you showed us.  We knew from the moment we walked in that this would be a perfect home for him.  You listened to all of our requests and requirements and found a home that fit those needs.  You eliminated any doubts that this would be safe and secure place for him. He is now moved in and we feel confident that we found the perfect place for him.  He is content and comfortable in his new HOME.  Thank you for everything you did for us. We were pleased with the service that Elena Newman provided, in a very critical time for my 87^th year old sister Marjorie. She fell and broke her hip in a Retirement Home. After a week in the Hospital she was sent for a two month stay at a Rehab Center. At the Center, she was told that she would need assisted care for the remainder of her life.

 

We contacted Elena at Adult Family Home Options, to help us find a suitable Adult Family Home. She interviewed Marjorie and indentified her likes and dislikes and what kind of care she would need. She took a few days and researched available Adult Family Homes. She then showed us several possible choices. We chose one in the Shoreline neighborhood that met her needs. This home was close so that family and friends could visit her.
